One of the many cool perks of gaming on a PC is it's versatility. Keyboards, mice, controllers, joysticks, flight sticks, racing wheels and pedals, VR headsets, head tracking software and devices, the list goes on and on. But this thread is for everyone out there to share their favorite, handiest, and most used macro recordings that make things easier for your fingers and wrists. Personally i have 5 dedicated macro keys on my board and two extra mouse buttons, and I only use 3 or 4 of them, so maybe we can all share and end up with more efficient and user-friendly peripherals.

Macro Key 1: Autorun for Dayz

Toggles double tapping W and then holding W down on the second tap, and your guy continues in a full sprint in a straight line until you press the key again. It's like cruise control, set it and forget it. Get to a long straight road and go have a piss or go get something to drink, and come back to find your man in the middle of the ocean or sprinting up against a tree or building. This is also helpful to rest your left hand on long distance travels and just use your mouse to steer your guy. in most games this would be accomplished by toggling sprint+W but in DayZ and ARMA it is double-tap W.

Macro Key 4: Save Last 20 minutes of gameplay with ShadowPlay, very helpful when something epic spontaneously happens mid-game and you weren't already recording. It turns those epic triple no-scope 360's into YouTube video proof instead of an unbelievable story that gets downvoted to hell.

This one simulates pressing Alt+F10 and then releasing it.

Macro Key 5: Toggles manual start and stop of ShadowPlay recording. An important match about to happen? Start recording and save it for later to review your techniques and look for places to improve, most in-game playback systems are inaccurate and don't really show what happened very well. Also any aspiring youtube stars can use this and get every bit of gameplay on tape and skip out on all the loading screens and such, and shadowplay barely affects the performance in-game, so it is handy to always have it on in the background ready to start recording.

Mouse Thumb Button: Grenade/melee

This simulates the G key or the melee key and then releasing it, it saves you from reaching with your left index finger out to G and keeps your finger-stance focused on movement, no longer will grenades and knifing keep you from strafing right. This doesn't apply to CS, but most other games have dedicated buttons for knife and grenade so it helps an awful lot.

This simulates pressing and releasing the left mouse button extremely fast, turning any semi-automatic weapon into a full automatic weapon, depending on the time delay the game forces between shots. This may get you into some hot water if used in a multiplayer or competitive game, but is a fun novelty to goof around with in stuff like Fallout, G-Mod, etc.

Each of these requires a delay between pressing, releasing, and the pressing of the next key, it may be 5 thousandth's of a second, but it has to be there in between like mortar between bricks.
