Hard drive not recognized when installing windows 7 pro. ST500DM002-1BD14 in a new HP z420. This has Windows 7 Professional 64 on it, bu I want to use EaseUS Todo Workstation to restore a. Just did a clean Win10Pro (v1803) install on a Z420 and saw the missing SAS driver. I downloaded SP72212 from HP's support site, but when I tried to install it I got the following warning: 'This computer currently contains driver versions newer than the versions you are about to install. Aug 17, 2017 - a 2018 SAS Controller driver to match the existing SATA RAID driver.

Yes to get the 'full' benefit of the BIOS i might want to try UEFI, now but if you read what I tried, it doesn't work. It freezes. Some tips here? Maybe some way to manually edit some *.EFI file..? I have no experience in this.
Same UEFI-USB that worked on a UEFI-only laptop didn't work on the Z420, same result (couldn't get past windows logo)
